Page 1 of 2 August 1, 2008 Dear Friends of Support Our War Heroes: Support Our War Heroes is pleased to announce “In the Company of Heroes” 2008 event Thursday evening, November 6, 2008, at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. “In the Company of Heroes” 2008 honors military members from our region who have sustained life-altering injuries in Iraq or Afghanistan since 9/11. This year, our guest speaker, Lt. Col. Oliver North, our emcee Admiral Tim McGee, the United States Marine Corps Band and our many sponsors and attendees, will honor our heroes. Guests will enjoy food from New Orleans’ finest restaurants and enjoy open bar while taking in the museum exhibits and entertainment. Support Our War Heroes is a New Orleans area based 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization that assists service members with life-altering injuries, with any unmet needs. Outreach from Support Our War Heroes extends to service men and women from all branches of the United States military. “In the Company of Heroes” is the major fundraiser for the year, which helps to fund hero grant programs and fund scholarship programs for the dependent children of our heroes as well as other unmet needs.
