Support Our War Heroes will
be cooking up a big pot of chili at the Mandeville Rotary Club’s 5th Annual
Chili Cookoff. Our chef team for this year’s pot of chili will be
our heroes Cpl Matthew Cole (Ret) and CW3
Michael Wells (Ret). Come
join us for a good time and some good chili!
The Northlake Mandeville Rotary Club continues its tradition of community outreach with this event “Cooking for the Community” honoring those who serve on Saturday November 1, 2008 from 10am – 4pm at the Madisonville Baseball Fields. The event includes a chili cookoff, antique car cruise-in, color guard, cheerleading and Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, games, food and drinks. The
event will be highlighted by a performance by the Northshore’s own Amanda Shaw and the Cute Guys from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. ADMISSION
IS FREE. Proceeds from the event will benefit community projects and organizations including first responders in the Northshore community, YMCA, Safe Harbor, and Support Our War Heroes. The Chili Cookoff features cash prizes for first through fourth place winners. Registrations
for cooking teams are open and free of charge. Rotary is an organization
